Our membership levels illustrate a continuum and journey of scholarship. GAHTS’ goal is to help you move through the levels of membership to be the next generation of leading scholars in the field of anti-trafficking research.
GAHTS welcomes individuals with human trafficking lived experience at all levels of membership.
Types of Membership
Senior Research Scholar Members:
Someone who has published 5 rigorous and peer-reviewed publications (e.g., journal article, book chapter) throughout the past 10 years on human trafficking (with at least 2 of the publications as a lead or single author).
For human trafficking lived experience experts: Someone who has published 3 rigorous and peer-reviewed publications (e.g., journal article, book chapter) throughout the past 10 years on human trafficking (with at least 2 publications as a lead or single author).
$120 Annual Fee*
Research Scholar Members:
Someone who has lead or single published at least one rigorous and peer-reviewed publication (e.g., journal article, book chapter) on human trafficking.
USD $120 Annual Fee*
Developing Scholar Members:
Someone who is pursuing a Master’s or Doctoral degree, is actively participating in research activities (or has in the past) in the area of human trafficking, and/or is interested in accessing AND producing rigorous and peer-reviewed research on the topic of human trafficking.
USD $60 Annual Fee*
Advocate Members:
No research or educational requirements. Is interested in accessing research ONLY. (i.e. Direct Service Providers, Law Enforcement, Healthcare Professionals, Community Member, etc.)
Free Membership
*If you are in need of financial assistance to cover the costs of the annual membership fee, GAHTS offers a waiver application that interested members can complete. Please email gahtscholars@gmail.com with any questions.
Our GAHTS’ Committee will review each application and accompanying materials and will email you within 5-10 business days.
