Open Doors (Anti-Sex Trafficking Movement) Clinician, Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center
Location: Duval, Florida, USA
The Clinician I will work as part of the programming team to provide survivor-centered therapeutic services to victims of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) based on assessed needs in a victim centered manner. The Clinician I will also serve as one of the first responders and provide immediate crisis intervention and mobile direct services support once a victim is identified. They will provide psychotherapy services to adults and children who are primary or secondary victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
Postdoctoral Fellow- Sex Trafficking, Women’s College Hospital
Location: Toronto, Canada
This position at Women’s College Research Institute, Women’s College Hospital, will provide a post-doctoral fellow with the opportunity to contribute to the under-researched, under-reported and frequently misunderstood issue that is sex trafficking. The position will be supervised by Drs. Janice Du Mont and Robin Mason, co-founders and current directors of the novel program of research, Addressing Sex Trafficking through Education and Research (ASTER). Sex trafficking is a growing concern in Canada–a billion-dollar industry that involves recruiting, harbouring, holding or transporting victims, usually girls or women, to exploit them for sexual purposes.
Support Specialist (Notice Tracking), National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
Location: Multiple locations
Position is responsible for providing overall support to the Notice Tracking program within the Exploited Children Division including some analytical work determining the actionable steps on public and Electronic Service Providers (ESP) reported URLs. The Support Specialist is the primary person responsible for support of the notice tracking program, including the triage of reports related to Notice Tracking and victim/survivor reports as well as victim database management and quality assurance. In many circumstances, cases may contain pornographic content or links to pornographic content online. This content may depict minors and/or adults. Such assistance requires an employee that can handle exposure to sensitive content, utilizing a victim-centric approach with all communications, demonstrating empathy and support for survivors and their families. Critical skills include high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work product, managing a fast-paced work environment, multi-tasking and time management. The Support Specialist is also responsible for various additional tasks and projects.
