Nicole Gallego, MSW

Nicole Marie Gallego is an operations Director in the organization El Pozo de Vida, a nonprofit based in Mexico City dedicated to the fight against human trafficking. Currently, her job responsibilities include grant writing, project design, development, monitoring and evaluation, as well as strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational development. She is also an adjunct professor in the National School of Social Work, located in Mexico City, where she teaches methodology in social work diagnostic assessment.
With a master’s degree in social work from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) as well as a graduate certificate degree in Youth Intervention Models from the same university, she has spent the last eleven years of her professional career working with international nonprofits focused on the issue of violence against women. She has also been published in peer-reviewed academic journals and edited collections.
