This session will focus on case studies of Asia, Hispanic and European sex trafficking enterprises operating in Southern California the result in the laundering of millions of dollars through illicit commercial sexual services offered in the U.S. The victims may be in the U.S. without documentation or be fully documented, however in each case they are being highly exploited. Most U.S. sex buyers do not understand the magnitude of the criminal enterprise they are participating in and how their sex buying experience will expose them to large scale criminal organizations in lands. We will examine the many types of money laundering methods including Hawala, real estate, and illegal drug operations.
