Resham Sethi, MA, MSW

Resham Sethi is a researcher in the field of human trafficking for forced labor. She currently works as a Research Associate with the Institute for Behavioral Health at The Schneider Institutes for Health Policy and Research at Brandeis University. With a global experience of working with victim-survivors of forced labor in India and the US, Resham is on a mission to prevent and eliminate human-worker rights violations in the global supply chains through trauma-informed evidence-based research and policy.
Resham’s research has focused on understanding how social, economic, and political identities, and systemic and institutional racism, inequities, and inequalities play a key role in trafficking workers. Her current work focuses on investigating and analyzing the intersection of health, behaviors, and systems of care and working with systems to improve the overall health of underserved and underrepresented communities in the US. Her work employs qualitative, mixed-methods, collaborative and community-engaged action research to understand the intersectionality between determinants.
Resham completed her Master’s in Sustainable International Development with a research focus on labor trafficking from Brandeis University in Massachusetts. She also holds a Master’s in Social Work, and a post-graduation diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility from India.
