Wendy Stiver has been a registered nurse since 1981. Throughout her career, she has explored the intersection between nursing and social justice in a variety of venues: working in an AIDS hospice in Los Angeles, organizing the local chapter of the Transcultural Nursing Society in the early 1990s, and developing continuing education texts and courses about human trafficking, domestic violence, and impairment in the workplace for nurses. Ms. Stiver is a co-presenter of topics in the Keeping It Sacred Rosh Chodesh Social Justice book club, including a recent presentation about the role of racism in human trafficking and stolen labor in California history.
